Guest Cottage Augusta Missouri Bed & Breakfast

Built in 1867, the Guest Cottage was completely renovated in 2000 by Ruth and Tom Touhill of Stone Ledge Antiques. It is located directly across the street from the H. S. Clay House. Even though the guests can appreciate all of the amenities at the H. S. Clay House, they can appreciate the total privacy and comfort the Cottage offers.

Upon entering the Guest Cottage, guests will find the first of two sitting rooms with glass French doors leading out to its own private covered porch overlooking gardens and fountains. Beyond the sitting room is a small kitchen where guests can keep drinks cold, warm up water for a cup of tea, or pop popcorn.

Guest Cottage by night.

Next, you will find an oversized bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The second sitting room is a library with a fireplace, beautiful leather library chairs, satellite TV and VCR, antique German tavern table, and of course, a variety of games and puzzles. The bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a beautiful hand painted cottage style bedroom set, and our unique way of displaying antique chairs (hint - they are not on the floor!)
